This Simple Healthier Chocolate Cake is a healthier version of an indulgent chocolate cake. I happen to love chocolate in any form. And I like to treat myself every now and then to a dessert or something sweet. I’m always constantly looking for ways to make desserts and sweet treats healthier so that it can be enjoyed semi guilt free.
In this recipe I use margarine instead of butter which is made out of vegetable oils. Semi sweet chocolate chips but you can also 70% chocolate or sugar free chocolate if you prefer. Coconut sugar instead of granulated sugar because it is one of my favorite choices of natural sweeteners. I really enjoy this chocolate cake and I hope you will too!
It goes perfect with some whipped cream of your choice. Whether it’s regular whipped cream, oat whipped cream or coconut whipped cream if dairy free.
I hope you enjoy this simple chocolate cake recipe as much as I do. And if you make it be sure to leave a comment and/or give it a rating! I’d also love to hear from you on Instagram and see what you make. So if you do, don’t forget to tag @alaingablog
