How Do I Make This Instant Pot Bacon Alfredo Pasta?

To make this instant pot bacon alfredo pasta is so simple! You start by sautéing bacon and garlic in the instant pot. Then you add in the white wine, chicken stock, heavy cream and dried pasta of choice. You cook everything for 6 minutes on high pressure manual setting. Then you open up the pot and stir everything together. You need to let it stand until some of the liquid has reduced and the mixture has thickened. It can take 5 minutes or longer. Then you stir in grated Parmesan cheese until it has melted. I let the mixture stand for a couple more minutes. About 3-5. At this point you will need to taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. And then you sprinkle the finished dish with some chopped fresh parsley, freshly grated  Parmesan cheese and enjoy!

Recipe Notes:

You can use ANY dried pasta of your choice. I have tried this recipe with many types of pasta both long and short. And it’s delicious no matter what type of pasta you use. A couple of examples it goes perfectly with:

-Fettuccine

-Tagliatelle

-Spaghetti

-Farfalle

-Fusilli

-Rigatoni

Substitutions:

OLIVE OIL – Instead of frying with olive oil in the beginning you can use butter.

BACON – Chicken can be used instead of bacon to make chicken alfredo pasta.

HEAVY CREAM – I have tried using non dairy cream such as oat cream and it worked very well.

PARMESAN – Any type of Italian cheese can be substituted such as Pecorino or Grana Padano.

You could also ADD IN any type of vegetables or leafy greens. Such as spinach, onions, mushrooms etc.
