These 30 minutes Homemade Pepperoni Pizza Burgers are a fun and delicious twist on one of summer’s most popular food. Homemade hamburger patties that are topped with mozzarella, pepperoni and dried oregano for extra pizza flavor. They are then served on toasted hamburger buns with melted butter, Parmesan cheese and topped with marinara sauce. I hope you enjoy!

Make These Homemade Pepperoni Pizza Burgers

I always start by gathering all of the ingredients needed in a recipe and weighing and measuring everything before I start to cook or bake. This part is really important and key in keeping everything organized.

  1. To make these homemade pepperoni pizza burgers you start by preheating the oven to 175C / 350F.
  2. Then you combine ground beef, Italian seasoning and garlic powder in a large bowl until combined. Form hamburger patties and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Brush the hamburger buns with melted butter and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  4. Heat the oil in a large skillet and cook the burgers then flip and top the burgers with cheese and pepperoni. Cook until they have reached your desired doneness. And sprinkle with dried oregano.
  5. Meanwhile, bake the hamburger buns in the oven until golden and crispy.
  6. Once ready, spread marinara sauce on the buns and top with the burgers. Serve immediately.

Store These Homemade Pepperoni Pizza Burgers

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Simply reheat in the microwave or oven until heated through.

Notes & Substitutions

Ground Beef:  If you want to use store bought hamburgers, you absolutely can! It would make this easy recipe even quicker.

Seasoning: To season my hamburger patties I mix in Italian seasoning and garlic powder together with the ground beef. And then I season both sides with salt and pepper. You can use ANY seasoning of choice instead.

Mozzarella Cheese: Instead of sliced mozzarella you can use cheddar, gouda or any other cheese of choice. You can also try using sliced brie or camembert.

Ingredients

675 gr / 1 ½ lb ground beef
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Fine salt and black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 slices mozzarella cheese
12 pepperoni slices
1 teaspoon dried oregano
4 hamburger buns
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Freshly grated Parmesan
8 tablespoons marinara sauce

Instructions

Preheat oven to 175C / 350F.

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Italian seasoning and garlic powder until combined. Form 4 hamburger patties using your hands and season both sides with salt and pepper.

Brush the hamburger buns with melted butter on the inside of each half and sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the burgers and cook for 3-5 minutes, then flip and top the burgers with cheese and pepperoni. Cook until they have reached your desired doneness. About 3-5 minutes. Sprinkle with dried oregano.

Meanwhile, bake the hamburger buns in the oven until golden and crispy. About 3-5 minutes.

Once ready, spread marinara sauce on the buns and top with the burgers.

Serve immediately.
