Homemade Granola

I have been meaning to make my version of Homemade Granola for a while now. I love all things breakfast and not only in the mornings. Breakfast can be eaten as any meal of the day. Even dinner if you want something light. This recipe for Homemade Granola is put together of my favorite healthy ingredients. One of the best things about granola is all of the options and add ins you can use in it to make it your own!

How To Serve This Homemade Granola?

My favorite way to serve and enjoy homemade granola is on top of greek yogurt or Icelandic skyr. It’s also perfect for topping smoothie bowls with.

Substitutions:


Nuts and seeds – For this recipe I used almond flakes, pecans, chia seeds, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds. But you can use any type of nuts and seeds you have on hand or prefer. Such as: almonds, walnuts, cashews, pistachios, sesame seeds.

Add Ins:

Delicious add ins that you could use include dried fruit, raisins, cranberries, ground cinnamon and coconut flakes.

Quick and easy recipe for Homemade Granola that can be made in so many different ways and enjoyed with all kinds of skyr, yogurt and more.

Ingredients

Scale

360 gr / 4 cups rolled oats
250 gr / 1 2/3 cups mixed nuts and seeds
(I used almond flakes, pecans, chia seeds, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds)
2-4 tbsp coconut sugar
1 tsp fine sea salt
115 gr / 1/3 cup maple syrup or honey
100 gr / ½ cup coconut oil, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat oven to 175C / 350F

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix all of the ingredients well together in a large bowl.

Spread the mixture in a thin layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 25-30 minutes until starting to brown. Stirring every 10 minutes.

Take out of the oven and allow to cool down on the baking sheet.
