The perfect side dish. That’s what this Homemade Garlic Cheese Bread is to me. It’s also simple, quick and easy. And don’t forget cheesy and delicious. The perfect thing to serve with most food. Especially pasta! And any Italian food. Also, soups, stews, casseroles. Pretty much anything that has a sauce that you can dip that perfectly crispy cheesy bread into. That’s what they are for right? And this homemade garlic cheese bread is perfect for just that!
Cheese Note:
For this recipe I decided to use two types of cheese. Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. I think the Parmesan gives it a nice salty taste and goes perfect with the mozzarella.
You can use your favorite cheese because ANY cheese goes perfect with this bread.
If you want it extra cheesy you can make it a three cheese garlic bread by adding another cheese such as cheddar or any other type of cheese.
Bread Note:
In this recipe I used a loaf of sourdough baguette which to me had the perfect thickness I was looking for. But any baguette or loaf of French bread works great.

Easy, cheesy and delicious! That’s this simple recipe of homemade garlic cheese bread that tastes just as good if not better than restaurant garlic cheese bread.

Ingredients
1 baguette or french bread
100 gr / ½ cup salted butter, softened
3 garlic cloves, minced
125 gr / 1 ¼ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
25 gr / ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Garnish:
Parsley, chopped
Instructions
Preheat oven to 200 C / 400 F.
Slice the bread in half.
In a small bowl mix together butter and garlic.
Spread the garlic butter onto the bread.
Top with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Bake in the oven for 13-15 minutes or until cheese is golden and edges of bread crispy.
When out of the oven, sprinkle with parsley and cut into pieces.
Serve and enjoy!
