These Homemade Fudgy Brownies are so easy to make and always give you irresistibly fudgy brownies that make the perfect weekend bake or dessert. To make them even better, serve them with whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream on top and drizzle with chocolate/caramel sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

185 gr / ¾ cup unsalted butter
300 gr / 1 ½ cup granulated sugar
2 eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
65 gr / ½ cup all purpose flour
50 gr / ½ cup cocoa powder
½ teaspoon fine salt

Powdered sugar (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 175C / 350F. Grease and line a 8 or 9 inch square baking pan with parchment paper.

Melt butter in the microwave stirring every 30 seconds. Stir in the sugar while the butter is still hot. Whisk for 1 minute or so. Put aside for a few minutes.

In a separate large bowl whisk the eggs for 1 minute until frothy and then stir in the butter mixture and vanilla extract until everything is combined.

Add the flour, cocoa powder and salt. Carefully mix together until just combined. Do not overmix the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake in the middle of the oven for 20-25 minutes. Careful not to overbake them.

Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a cutting board to finish cooling.

Cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
