Easy Healthy Avocado Ice Cream that requires no churning, no ice cream maker and is made using a food processor with a handful of simple ingredients (only 5). Serve and enjoy as a healthy snack at any time of the day!

How To Make This Healthy Avocado Ice Cream?

I always start by gathering all of the ingredients needed in a recipe and weighing and measuring everything before I start to cook or bake. This part is really important and key in keeping everything organized.

The full printable recipe is below.

To make this healthy avocado ice cream you start by adding sliced frozen bananas to a food processor and blending until you have a smooth banana ‘ice cream’.

Add pitted and peeled avocado halves, coconut cream, honey and lemon juice. Blend well until you have reached completely smooth consistency. Taste and add mroe honey if needed.

Pass the mixture through a fine mesh sieve. This step makes the ice cream much smoother in texture and consistency.

Transfer the mixture into a freezer safe container. Freeze for minimum 2-3 hours before serving.

How To Store This Healthy Avocado Ice Cream?

You want to store this ice cream in a freezer safe container. Cover with either an airtight lid or wrap tightly with plastic wrap. For best results eat ice cream within 2-3 days.

Recipe Notes:

Bananas – I use frozen sliced or roughly chopped bananas in this recipe so that when you process them in the food processer it makes it quicker and easier.

Avocados – For the avocados, if using large avocados then 2 pieces are enough. If using small or medium avocados use 3 pieces.

Coconut Milk – Refrigerate a can of full fat coconut milk either for a few hours or overnight. Your only going to use the solid part (the coconut cream) of the coconut milk. You can save the coconut water for using later, for example in smoothies.

Honey – I use honey to sweeten the ice cream, but you can also use maple syrup or any other type of sweetener.

Add In Ideas – Feel free to add any of your favorite ice cream add ins such as: Chopped dark chocolate or chocolate chips, fresh mint, peppermint extract, vanilla bean, vanilla extract, chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios).

How To Get Smooth Consistency?

To make sure you get the best results possible for a smooth consistency, I recommend passing the ice cream mixture before freezing through a fine mesh sieve.
