This Chopped Italian Salad Pizza is perfect for when your tired of your old favorite pizza toppings and want to try a new fun pizza. It’s extremely fresh thanks to the delicious homemade tangy Italian salad with lettuce, shallot, cherry tomatoes, salami and grated Parmesan. I hope you enjoy!

How To Make This Chopped Italian Salad Pizza?

I always start by gathering all of the ingredients needed in a recipe and weighing and measuring everything before I start to cook or bake. This part is really important and key in keeping everything organized.

To make this chopped Italian salad pizza is very simple. You start by placing your oven rack in the upper 1/3 in your oven and lightly spray a baking sheet or pizza tray with oil.

Make the dressing in a small bowl by whisking together oil, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, salt, pepper, oregano and set aside.

Chop the lettuce, slice the shallot, halve the tomatoes and slice the salami into bite sized pieces. Place in a another medium sixed bowl and put aside.

On a lightly floured surface roll the pizza dough out until you have reached your desired thickness. About a 12 inch circle.

Place the pizza dough on the prepared tray. Using the back of a spoon, gently spread the tomato sauce onto the dough. Top with shredded Mozzarella cheese.

Slide into the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese and crust is golden.

Add the dressing to the chopped ingredients and toss together until coated. Add in the grated parmesan cheese and toss until evenly coated.

Take the pizza out of the oven and top with chopped salad.

Slice and serve immediately.

How To Store Leftover Chopped Italian Salad Pizza?

This pizza is best served and enjoyed immediately after making it but you can store any pizza leftovers in an airtight container or a Ziploc bag in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Notes & Substitutions

Dried Oregano – If you don’t like oregano you can use any other herb seasoning instead such as basil or parsley. If you want you can also use fresh herbs.

Lettuce – You can use any type of lettuce or leafy greens for the salad. For example spinach or kale.

Shallot – Instead of shallot you can use any type of onion. Red, white, yellow.

Cherry Tomatoes – Grape tomatoes can be used instead of cherry tomatoes.

Salami – Instead of salami you could use pepperoni cut into quarters or mini pepperoni. You can also try using dry cured ham such as Prosciutto or Parma ham.

Grated Parmesan – Instead of finely grated Parmesan you could use roughly grated or shaved Parmesan, Grana Padano or Pecorino.

Add Your Favorite Ingredients – This salad pizza recipe is very customizable and perfect for adding in your favorite salad ingredients such as: Olives, bell peppers, onions, broccoli, fresh herbs, artichokes and more!
