Chocolate Date Truffles

These easy to make Chocolate Date Truffles will leave you wanting another, and another and another. That’s how oh so good they are. Plus they make you FEEL good by eating them because of how healthy they are. I love to make them and store them in the freezer so that I always have something healthy to snack on in between meals. Enjoy these chocolate date truffles for example with a cup of coffee or hot tea.

Recipe Notes:

Instead of rolling the truffles in cocoa powder try rolling them in coconut or finely chopped almonds.
You can also make a „chocolate“ coating by melting coconut oil and stir in cocoa powder. Then roll the truffles in the chocolate and store in the freezer.

Chocolate Date Truffles

These easy Chocolate Date Truffles make the perfect healthy snack. Enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200 gr pitted dates
  • 70 gr almonds (or other nuts)
  • 70 gr almond meal
  • 25 gr cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • Cocoa powder or other (see notes)

Instructions

  1. Take the stones out of the dates, place the dates in a small bowl and pour hot water over them.
  2. Pulse the almonds, almond meal and cocoa in a food processor.
  3. Remove the water from the dates.
  4. Add the dates, vanilla essence and sea salt to the food processor and pulse until a sticky dough forms.
  5. Remove the dough from the food processor.
  6. Roll the dough into small truffles (I got 22, but depends on size)
  7. Then roll the truffles in cocoa powder or other.
  8. Store in an airtight container in the freezer or refrigerator.
