When you need a quick and easy chocolate fix then this 5 Minute Double Chocolate Mug Cake is perfect. It’s extremely soft and most importantly not dry. It even has a surprise in the center, melted milk chocolate chunks. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons semi sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
1 large egg
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
¼ teaspoon baking powder
28 gr / 1 oz milk chocolate chunks
Place butter and chocolate chips in a medium/large mug and microwave until melted, about 60-90 seconds.
Stir in honey, egg, cocoa powder and vanilla extract.
Stir in flour and baking powder until just combined.
Drop milk chocolate chunks into the center of the cake. No need to press them down, they will sink on their own.
Microwave on full power for 2 minutes.
Serve with ice cream/whipped cream and enjoy!
